May 12 UPDATE: The first issue takes place in Havana, so we got a rum thing going on. We'll have Bacardi, Capt. Morgan's, a case of Sierra Nevada, Becks, Heineken, Stella Artoios (SP?) and assorted sodas and finger foods. Not too shabby!

Well, that was a rocking party. Where else but L.A. could such a motley crew gather. I got to see old comic book friends like Gary Phillips and James Pascoe and meet new comic book friends like Mark Sable and Phillipe Sollers. I am humbled and honored by the response to the book this night...even if after a couple of beers I was neither humble nor honorable...
Well...I think I am all pimped out with this book. It's been fun to try and do my best breaking through the comic signal to noise ratio and get some ink...or pixels right? Now that the baby has been born, people can decide for themselves whether they dig it or not. I just wanted people to actually pick it up and make that decision - instead of the book going directly to the .10 cent pile...
Thanks for reading my many missives about this book. If it has become annoying, I beg your forgiveness. Please know that this all stems from the excitement I feel in seeing my first published work out there in the world.
I look forward to seeing what people think and turning the blog into a forum for thoughts on that front and less a promotional piece....
The party was a lot of fun. Turn out was great and best of all Left on Mission SOLD OUT!!!
